John studied at the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College, where he obtained a BSc and later a Diploma in Architecture. He is registered with ARB, and a member of the RIBA. He also became registered to practise in France (CROAIF), Germany (HESSEN), and USA (NCARB). John practised with his father Richard until his father’s retirement in 1988. During this period he concentrated on the design of a number of important projects. These include:

In 1998, John formed a partnership with Mauro Mujica in Washington DC. He designed Marina Towers in Atlantic City and various high-tech office projects in the Washington area.
In 1991, John founded John Seifert Architects Ltd which he has since managed with his five fellow directors. The Practice has worked in the UK and throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Recent projects include:
In 1993, John set up a branch of the Practice in Frankfurt with Achim Jaeger. The firm has worked throughout Germany and in support of German companies in developing countries. Projects include:
In 2002, John formed Bevis Seifert Interior Design Ltd to work in parallel to the architectural Practice providing interior design services for hotels, offices and other building types.
